The whoops of the day was when I felt something wet on my leg and I looked down at Mia to see her staring down at a big puddle on the carpet below us. I couldn't figure out where it came from. No water bottles, no sippy cups in sight... hmm... so I assumed she had spit up a whole lot. I cleaned it up with an old shirt I had in my bag... I was surprised how much there was, and how food free it was for baby puke. A few minutes later I picked Mia up and felt that her legs were wet, and then when I sat her on my lap I realized she didn't have a diaper on!! She had pulled it off, peed on the church chapel carpet, and stared at the ground to admire her work! How the heck she got her diaper off is beyond me. But I guess thats what I get for not putting bloomers on her with her dress!! Needless to say, I put a little more work into cleaning it up better. Later when Mia was playing with her blanket on another part of the carpet I started to wonder... What other kinds of things have been "spilled" on this carpet??

Primary Program... Whoops!
Today was the annual primary program at church... always my favorite Sunday to go to church besides Mother's Day, when the kids sing to their Moms. We are usually late to church, since it is now at 8 am (who am I kidding, we've always been late to church), but today we made sure to get there early, so we could sit up close and watch our 3 cute kids in primary! My favorite parts where when they signed and sang the song "When Jesus Christ was Baptized," and at the end, when they sang "I am a Child of God...." you could really feel the love of all the sweet little kids when they sang that last song that I love so much.

How funny! Im sure those floors have seen everything! Who knows there may have already been a pee spot there before! (you took our 8'clock time spot...we moved to 2! thats worse!)
If those floors could talk . . :-)
I don't envy you getting your family ready for 8 o'clock church. It's going to be bad enough just trying to get myself out the door on time next year when we move to the 8am spot!!
At least she didn't poop with the diaper off....it could be worse. As for what else is on those floors, we're probably all better off not knowing!!
don't ya just love discovering new "talents"? Brody's trying to use a fork to "feed" himself as I type. For every bite in his mouth 1flings over his head which means I'll be mopping floors before I crash out tonite, fun stuff!
As for the carpets at church? best not to even think about it =0
oops is right and i dont want to know what in the heck is in those carpets - gross :)
I love primary programs too. This year was the first one I got to watch my kids from the audience, can you believe that?!? It was great. As for the carpet it's just like when I take my kids to McDonalds I try not to even let my mind wonder cuz yikes!!!
That is hillarious! I can't believe it. Brielle hasn't done any tricks like that...yet. I also loved the primary theme this year and loved the songs. Kids are too cute and so fun to watch. It is great to be a parent that really loves seeing their kids "perform". As for 8am church, not so fun. We get to experience that in just about 6 weeks. Can't wait...NOT!
Thanks for the laugh, Kara! At least at a Mormon church you are in good company with all those other moms! That is hilarious, though, and I can say it hasn't happened to me (yet). Before Clara could walk she didn't crawl, she scooted on her bottom. After sacrament meeting her tights & diaper cover would be black. Those floors!
That is hilarious! I used to pin my girls' disposable diapers on because they would take them off ALL THE TIME! (the worst is when they take it off because it is poopy . . . especially when you don't catch it until AFTER it's smeared all over the place!) Good times!!
I won't complain anymore at my 9:00 church . . . I am glad it's not 8! I think we go later in Jan. YEAH for me!!)
