Wow so much has happened in the last few months, birthdays, births, Christmas, my computer still not working.
I asked Santa to fix it for me but he didn't so now I am using Chris's computer, which I guess I could have been doing all along, but I was just so indifferent.
Tonight as I was reflecting on Christmas and all the great experiences, I realized how much I miss my blog. I was thinking how proud I was of us and all the great gifts the kids got so I thought I would share.
I also wanted to put in a few blurbs about some of our goings on, and updates on each of us.
Isaac turned 7 on the 18th, the week before Christmas. I remember when he was born and how stressful Christmas was that year, and I was reminded by my brother Bryant and his wife Taryn and their baby Emmy Mae that was born Dec 17th, (in CA) and they are here now for Christmas and New Years! Taryn is such a trooper.
Bryant and EmmyAva turned 4 in October, and I am so proud of the beautiful little girl she has become... she is so smart and fun to have around always asking questions, telling me stories and singing Hannah Montana or Selena Gomez songs (which she has learned from her big sister and Disney Channel).
Cameron has become so responsible lately, helping more and more as I've needed his help, always willing to come to my aid in a moments notice. I love him so much and he has been such a kind loving son lately, always telling me how much he loves me and becoming more of a preteen... watching and playing lots of football with Chris, becoming apathetic about school, mr cool, but still always showing love to his Mom.
Madison is fiercely independent as usual. She is so creative it kills me. She always wants to bake or draw or play piano, or design something. This is a silly thing, but tonight she noticed I put egg nog in the pasta sauce, something only she would notice because she notices everything like me. She is always willing to help in some way, but usually it has to be her idea. She wanted to help me put Ava's easel together today, but didn't want to help clean up the art mess when we were all done, but of course she still helped.
Isaac is turning into such an interesting young man. Today Chris and I were watching him in primary, while these 2 men were singing a Christmas song, and he had his arms folded and was watching with great interest. And the rest of primary he was so good, and he even got picked to come up to the front to help because he was so reverent. He is very focused, always willing to get the job done. I love that about him. And that he always goes to bed early. I don't always like him getting up early, like at 6:30 on Christmas, but it was a fun day. Good thing I got most of wrapping done Christmas Eve day. I also love how sweet his is with Mia and other little kids around this age. Everyone is always commenting on how he takes care of the babies.
Mia is getting so big! Can't believe she will be 2 next month. She is talking so much and has her little routines. Like watching Dora and replaying it over and over. And she always knows when its naptime or bedtime, she gets her milk, her blankie and a few stories. And she usually stays up in her bed for like an hour just playing, like she is now. Little stinker, but kind of nice because she is entertaining herself all that time. She loves Dora, and ice cream cones and stars right now, so of course she got lots of Dora stuff, plus and ice cream cone play set, which she carried around an ice cream cone all day on Christmas, and whenever we get home and get out of the car, she things she has to go out to the front yard ornaments and point out all of the stars. I was excited about this word book I got for her that has shapes, number colors, food, we just read it tonight and she is so quiet the whole time just listening to all the words.
Well, this post has been longer than I expected, but I just had so much on my mind about my kids! I think I will start another for the Christmas toys. :o)
